BONKbot Fees and Features Explained
On this page
BONKbot charges a 1% fee on each successful swap, according to its official documentation. Setting it up is free, and the fee only applies when you trade. On top of that you pay normal Solana network costs, plus any priority fee or MEV-protection tip you choose. BONKbot also gives back between 5% and 25% as cashback depending on your trading-volume tier.
BONKbot describes itself as the original ("OG") Telegram trading bot on Solana. This guide covers what it costs, what it can do, and the safety points that matter most.
BONKbot trading fees at a glance
| Cost | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Trading fee | 1% of each successful swap | BONKbot docs |
| Setup | Free | BONKbot docs |
| Cashback | 5% to 25% by volume tier, paid in SOL | BONKbot docs |
| Solana network fee | Small, paid in SOL | Solana |
| Priority / MEV tip | Optional, you choose the level | BONKbot settings |
A worked example
You buy 2 SOL of a token and later sell it for 3 SOL.
- Fee on the buy: 1% × 2 SOL = 0.02 SOL
- Fee on the sell: 1% × 3 SOL = 0.03 SOL
- Total BONKbot fees: 0.05 SOL, before cashback and network costs.
At the entry cashback tier (Iron, 5%), about 0.0025 SOL comes back. Higher tiers return more, but they require much larger trading volume.
How BONKbot cashback works
BONKbot's docs list 13 cashback tiers, from Iron (5%) through Bronze, Silver and Gold up to Platinum III (25%). Your tier is based on trailing trading volume, with your own volume counted five times and your direct referrals' volume added. Cashback is applied automatically to each trade and paid in SOL, and you can claim it through the Telemetry terminal.
| Tier group | Cashback range |
|---|---|
| Iron | 5% |
| Bronze I–III | 10% to 11% |
| Silver I–III | 12.5% to 16% |
| Gold I–III | 17.5% to 22% |
| Platinum I–III | 23% to 25% |
Key BONKbot features
- Telegram trading: paste a token address (or a pump.fun, DEX Screener, Birdeye or Meteora link) and buy with preset buttons or a custom SOL amount.
- Limit orders: limit buy (including buy-the-dip and breakout entries) and limit sell, with partial fills.
- Trailing stop loss: a sell trigger that moves up as the price rises and sells a chosen share if price drops by your set percentage or multiple.
- DCA: split buys or sells over time.
- Nighthawk: BONKbot's sniping setup, with precision and speed modes.
- Telemetry: BONKbot's web terminal, with charts, token discovery, a wallet tracker and its own limit orders and auto-strategy tools.
How the trailing stop loss works
BONKbot's docs give this example: you set a trailing sell for 50% of a position with a trigger at 0.8x the current market cap. If the market cap is 3.69B, the trigger starts at about 2.95B. If the market cap climbs to 5B, the trigger follows it to 4B. If the price then falls back to 4B, the order sells half the position. You lock in part of a rally without watching the chart all day.
MEV protection: Turbo vs Secure
MEV protection is on by default in BONKbot. You choose between two modes:
| Mode | How it works | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Turbo | Sends transactions through Jito and protects them when that route is fastest | If the regular route is faster, the trade goes unprotected |
| Secure | Always protects the transaction | Can be slower; a higher bribe speeds it up |
You also set a priority level (Medium, High or Very High, or a custom value for advanced users). Higher priority lands faster but costs more on every trade.
Is BONKbot safe?
BONKbot describes its setup as non-custodial: a system it calls the Signer approves only transactions that match a template you agreed to, and its docs say your private key is never visible to BONKbot, Telegram or third parties. It also supports two-factor authentication so your funds stay protected if your Telegram account is compromised.
The bigger risks are outside the bot:
- Fake bots. Impersonators copy BONKbot's name. The official bot is @bonkbot_bot, linked from bonkbot.io.
- The tokens themselves. Most new memecoins lose most of their value. BONKbot's docs include checks worth doing before buying, such as whether a token's mint and freeze authority are revoked and whether liquidity is burnt.
- Your own settings. High slippage and large preset buys make mistakes expensive.
BONKbot vs Trojan
| BONKbot | Trojan | |
|---|---|---|
| Trading fee | 1% per successful swap | 1% per successful trade |
| Cashback | 5% to 25% by volume tier | 10% to 35% by Arena rank |
| Main interface | Telegram bot plus Telemetry web terminal | Web terminal plus Telegram bot |
| Perpetuals | Not covered in BONKbot's docs | Yes, powered by Hyperliquid |
Both charge the same headline fee. The choice mostly comes down to interface and features. See the Trojan fact sheet and what Trojan is for the comparison in detail.

FAQ
How much does BONKbot charge?
1% on each successful swap, per BONKbot's documentation. Network fees and any priority or MEV tip are extra, and cashback returns 5% to 25% depending on your tier.
Does BONKbot charge a fee on failed transactions?
BONKbot's fee page says the 1% is charged per successful transaction, so a swap that fails does not pay the BONKbot fee. Solana network costs on a failed attempt are a separate matter.
Is BONKbot safe?
BONKbot says its setup is non-custodial and supports two-factor authentication. The main risks are fake bots, the tokens you buy and your own settings; see the safety section above.
Does BONKbot hold my private key?
BONKbot says its setup is non-custodial and that your private key is never visible to BONKbot, Telegram or third parties.
What is the official BONKbot Telegram handle?
@bonkbot_bot. Only open it from the link on bonkbot.io; copycat bots exist.
Does BONKbot have a referral program?
Yes. Its docs describe referrer rewards of 30% in the first month, 20% in the second month and 10% for life on the Telegram bot.
